About me

My name is Amy Duncan. I’m a native-born New Yorker who has been living in Rio de Janeiro since 1999. I’m a pianist/composer/arranger and have a 10-piece band, Brass Tacks, for which I do write all the music. I have also been a journalist, among the many other jobs I’ve done in my life. I’ve written a book about my life, and this blog is about the book and anything else that may come to mind!

    I wish I could autograph them, but so far it looks as if it’ll be just an e-book. For me to have hard copies, I’d have to have them sent here and then sent back to the USA…doesn’t make much sense…unless I could find an “agent” in the USA…who know? Anything is possible! 😀

    Hi Amy, you wrote a justifiable bad review on Amazon about my book a couple of years ago based on its bad grammar and poor revision. I have sent it to a professional and am about to re-launch it. Could you please consider re-writing it?

    Great! I’m happy to do a new review, but I wanted to see it first. If it still has mistakes, you should hire ME as your editor! 😀 Anyway, it IS a very good book, and good books deserve good edits. I was so grateful to my editor, who saved me from some serious mistakes I almost made! I’ll take the old review of your book down now.
